Catch the Wave!" scarf kit
for rigid heddle/knitters, 2-shaft looms
Mountain Colors hand-painted Moguls wool yarn is wonderfully lumpy, bumpy, highly textured yarn. The challenge was to keep the texture when woven. Enter Mountain Colors wool crepe and the texture shines. The finished scarf reminds me of waves coming in to shore and the soft feel and drapes is like water. At only 8 picks per inch, it weaves up fast.
Three colorways: Cornflower, Ruby River and Mountain Twilight.

Swatch Critter Kits for Zoom Loom!
(Click below picture to run slide show)
Zoom Loom Pin Looms by Schacht weave small 4" squares. It's addicting fun to weave the squares, but what to do with them? While weaving a square from Mountain Colors Juniper, I thought "I wonder if I can make a turtle?" And yes, I could and the Swatch Critters kit line was born.

All the Mountain Colors handpainted yarn needed
Detailed Instructions
- if you can sew a button or hem, you can make a Swatch Critter!
Kits do not include stuffing so the weaver can use the stuffing of their choice: wool fleece, poly or cotton fill or old nylons all work nicely.

*No squares are cut in the making of these critters. All critters are named for towns in their home state of Montana.
